MY3 Sifu Aaron “Moy Sup Tung” Vyvial

At just 17 in 1994, MY3 Sifu Moy Sup Tung Aaron Vyvial began Moy Yat Ving Tsun (wing chun) Kung Fu training under Grandmaster Moy Tung at the Richmond Moy Yat Kung Fu Academy.

Vyvial soon became an MY3 (inner circle) disciple of Moy Tung and assistant instructor in 1996. He traveled extensively on training trips with him to branch locations, and to the New York headquarters of the SSA, Grandmaster Moy Yat’s school in Chinatown, Manhattan, NYC. In more recent years, he’s also visited the Hong Kong headquarters of the Ving Tsun Athletic Association (VTAA) with Moy Tung.

Grandmaster Vyvial began teaching Moy Yat Kung Fu in Austin, TX in 2002. His Sifu had honored him with a Kung Fu name, Moy Sup Tung, and he was intent on following his advice to ‘teach pure Ving Tsun from the heart.’ Since then, the Austin branch has hosted Grandmaster Moy Tung many times for workshops, as well as other SSA Sifus, and even the late Grandmaster Moy Bing Wah, the man who introduced Moy Yat to Yip Man.

Though he has studied other martial arts and is also a sought-after Kettle Bell master instructor, the Ving Tsun Kung Fu system, as handed down in the Moy Yat-Moy Tung lineage, remains his primary love and focus.

His dedication and physical ability have inspired many others to train Ving Tsun and even teach it, including his students Nic Bartell, the Sifu of the Houston and Georgetown branches, and Vincent Hardy, the Sifu of the Georgia club. This means MY3 Sifu Aaron Vyvial is SiGung to the students in these schools.
