VCU Commonwealth times coverage of the Richmond Moy Yat Kung Fu Academy Ving Tsun (Wing Chun) Kung Fu martial arts demonstration at the VMFA Chinafest, for the 2023 Chinese New Year of the Rabbit. The RVA Academy has programs for men, women, kids and teens. Ving Tsun is simple for self-defense, and develops better health, fitness, discipline and confidence.

Interview with MY5 Sifu David Bearce published in Wing Chun Illustrated, Issue 46. Sifu Bearce runs the Portland, Maine MTAA branch, teaching the Ving Tsun Kung Fu system of martial arts. In this article, he discusses the ‘Power of Workshop training.’ Sifu Bearce has travelled to many cities for training at workshops over the years, and has hosted many workshops at his own school, hosting his own Sifu, Dave Clay of Boston, as well as Grandmaster Moy Tung.

CBS Austin, TX: Women’s Self-Defense Classes at Moy Yat Kung Fu
Austin Moy Yat Kung Fu Academy interviewed for CBS Austin coverage of a September, 2015 Austin Police Dept alert regarding recent sexual assaults in the area. The Austin Academy, run by MY3 Sifu Moy Sup Tung Aaron Vyvial, teaches the Ving Tsun (wing chun) Kung Fu system, for fitness and fighting in self-defense.

The Austin Moy Yat Kung Fu Academy offers self-defense classes for women, using training in the Ving Tsun (wing chun) Kung Fu martial arts system. The school is run by MY3 Sifu Aaron Vyvial, a disciple of Grandmaster Anthony Moy Tung, founder of the Richmond Moy Yat Kung Fu Academy, and SSA disciple of the late Grandmaster Moy Yat.

Detroit Lions Lineman Trains Ving Tsun
In 2011, Detroit Lions lineman Andre Fluellen began training Ving Tsun (wing chun) Kung Fu at the Detroit Kung Fu Academy. Fluellen had started with the NFL in 2008. The average NFL player’s career lasts about three years; Fluellen’s spanned eight, with five of those years after he began training Ving Tsun. As a kid, he was intrigued by Bruce Lee and martial arts, and happened to see a film about Yip Man (Ip Man) a couple weeks before seeing the sign for the Detroit school.
