CBS Austin, TX: Women’s Self-Defense Classes at Moy Yat Kung Fu

Austin Moy Yat Kung Fu Academy featured in CBS Austin coverage of a September, 2015 Austin Police Dept alert regarding recent sexual assaults in the area. The Austin Academy, run by MY3 Sifu Moy Sup Tung Aaron Vyvial, teaches the Ving Tsun (wing chun) Kung Fu system, for fitness and fighting in self-defense.

"If I cannot get to my weapon, if I can't get to a concealed hand gun I still have my body. You can't take that away from me," said Aaron Vyvial of Moy Yat Kung Fu Academy in Austin.

Moy Yat Kung Fu Academy teaches free self-defense.{} It is different than martial arts.{} It is a class based on intelligent movement and intelligent choices. "Once you have to attack, once you feel you have to attack, there are no good options.{} You have to attack with as much aggression as you can in order to survive," said Vyvial.

Austin Mom Jessica Gorman started taking self-defense classes when she moved to Austin and says it gives her peace of mind. "You want to have all the balls in your court and you want to not leave anything to chance," said Gorman.
