MY4 Sifu Brad Schonhorst
From a young age, Moy Tung MY4 Sifu Sifu Brad Schonhorst began training martial arts, and in 1997, Sifu Brad began training Ving Tsun in Iowa City under Sigung Moy Yat Tung. Within a short period of time, Sifu Schonhorst realized that there was something very special about Ving Tsun (wing chun) Kung Fu. Not only does Ving Tsun not rely on physical strength, height advantage, or other physical attributes, it utilizes principles based on physics, efficiency, and relaxation.
In 2002, Sifu Schonhorst moved from Iowa City to New York City and began teaching a small group of students, officially opening his first school in 2004. In 2010, after moving to Maryland, Sifu Schonhorst and his wife, Sifu Liz, founded Montgomery County Kung Fu.
Sifu Schonhorst teaches at this school, as well as visiting his students and grandstudents in New York. He continues to advance his Kung Fu by spending time with his Sifu Rob Squatrito and Sigung Moy Tung, and participating at workshops in the Moy Tung clan.

Montgomery County Kung Fu is located in the Kentlands neighborhood of Gaithersburg, MD. Germantown, Rockville, Redland, Dawsonville, Darnestown, Derwood and North Potomac are all nearby. The school offers training in the complete Ving Tsun (wing chun) Kung Fu system, for self-defense and exercise, mind-body health and mental/physical fitness. Group classes and private lessons are available.
Ving Tsun Kung Fu training enables practitioners to stand strong on the feet, with hands that can block and hit at the same time. Sifu Schonhorst teaches the same way he learned, authentically passing down the Ving Tsun system unchanged.
