MY3 Sifu Moy Yat Tung Rob Squatrito
Dr. Rob Squatrito is the Sifu of Kung Fu Va Beach. His Kung Fu name, Moy Yat Tung, means he is the senior student of Grandmaster Moy Tung; he began training under him at the Richmond Moy Yat Kung Fu Academy in 1985. Sifu Moy Yat Tung is a member of the MY3 Association for Moy Tung’s personal students, as well as his Sigung Grandmaster Moy Yat’s GSS Association for grandstudent Ving Tsun Kung Fu disciples.
While getting his medical degree, Sifu Moy Yat Tung opened a Moy Yat Kung Fu school in Iowa City in 1993 that went on to produce some powerful Kung Fu Sifus currently teaching around the US in Grandmaster Moy Tung’s lineage. He then taught students in Vermont, before founding the Virginia Beach school in the year 2000. His attention to detail and scientific break-down of the Kung Fu system have yielded great clarity in the teaching of the system for his many students, grand students and great-grand students.
Sifu Moy Yat Tung embraces Kung Fu principles in all of his endeavors. He is a successful surgeon, father to 3 active children at the same time as being the SiGung or SiTaiGung to over a dozen schools in the Moy Tung Kung Fu lineage. He also finds time to record albums and play shows as a lead guitarist in his blues band.

Kung Fu Virginia Beach offers martial arts instruction in the Ving Tsun (wing chun) Kung Fu system, for self-defense, self-improvement, mind-body health, mental & physical fitness. Group classes and private lessons are available for men and women. There are Muk Yan Jong Wooden Dummy’s and Luk Dim Boon Kwan poles for those on advanced Ving Tsun training.
Kung Fu Va Beach serves the Mid-Atlantic Hampton Roads region, and is centrally located in Northwest Virginia Beach, about 15” from Ocean Front, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake and Sandbridge.
The school is at a shopping center on Independence Ave, in a 2200 sq’ upgraded facility with three training chambers, plus an outdoor area. This location is just a couple minutes North of Town Center and Mount Trashmore Park, and near the Lake Smith, Thoroughgood, Lynnwood, Kings Grant, Bayside, East Beach, Lake Taylor, Chic’s Beach, ViBe Creative District, and Military Circle neighborhoods.
Also nearby are the Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, Oceana Naval Station, Regent University and Weslyan University. 10% discounts are offered to students, law enforcement, military and others in public service and health professions.
