Sibok Lester Lau began his Ving Tsun Kung Fu training in 1973 under Grandmaster Moy Yat, at his first school in Brooklyn, NY, known as ‘Ding Leg Yard.’

SSA Sifu Lau is also known as ‘Moy Yee’ (or ‘Moy 2’ in the US), as he was the second person to join Grandmaster Moy Yat’s Special Student Association (SSA), formed in the US for his inner circle students here.

Sifu Lau is a professor of architecture, and applies Ving Tsun principles in this field. He is an avid researcher of the Ving Tsun system, its history, and its practice in the modern world.

He’s taught the Ving Tsun system to many, including presentations for the Richmond Moy Yat Kung Fu Academy. He is esteemed as a Sibok, one of the top elder Kung Fu masters in the Moy Yat SSA.

For the Richmond anniversary event, Sibok will give special lectures on two topics: The 70-year old question of Ving Tsun, and the Ving Tsun “water theory.” This is an opportunity for rare insights into the system.
