2017: American Moy Yat Kung Fu returns to Hong Kong

In April of 2017, Grandmaster Moy Tung made his first trip to Hong Kong, the city where his Sifu, Moy Yat, learned from the great Yip Man. With him were three generations of Moy Tung-lineage Sifus; Austin MY3 Sifu Moy Sup Tung Aaron Vyvial and his student, Houston MY4 Sifu Nic Bartell; Detroit MY Sifu Lung Yat Tung Owen Matson; and MY5 Sifu DC Mark.

The Kung Fu name ‘Moy Tung’, means ‘Man from the East’, according to Grandmaster Moy Yat, who also said it reflected his SSA disciple’s respect for and dedication to the Ving Tsun system and the Kung Fu life.

In 1986 Anthony Moy Tung Dandridge founded the Richmond Moy Yat Kung Fu Academy, and began teaching students who would become Sifus who trained more Sifus, through three generations of the Moy Tung Kung Fu lineage. It was only a matter of time before Grandmaster Moy Tung would visit the origin lands of the Ving Tsun (wing chun) Kung Fu system, to pay his respects to Yip Man, and to his living Kung Fu uncles that his Sifu, Moy Yat, had told him of.
